    1. Librarian Note There is than one author by this name in the data base.

I read about this book on a DC parenting forum and decided to look for it at the library, but, as I was reading it, I realized it was basically a list of seven common “sins” of raising ANY child, period, regardless of whether they are an only, oldest, middle, youngest, etc. Also, the concept of a book with this as its subject suddenly struck me as an oxymoron, b/c it told parents of “onlies” to calm down and stop treating them so delicately and over-focusing on them so much. . .BUT yet. [...]

    3. By far one of the best child rearing books (for parents with onlies) that I have read. Lots of great information and tips--I have highlighted lots of passages--this is a book I will be referring to again and again throughtout Chris's childhood, adolsencence and adulthood.
