    2. RATING: 4.5 STARSSealing the Deal is book #3 in The Ladies Who Lunch series by Sandy James. I have not read any of the other books in this series but it was fine. You don’t need the first two books in order to thoroughly enjoy this one, which I most definitely did.Bethany Rogers 30 years old, single, a high school teacher and on the side, helps to stage homes for her long time friend and builder, Robert Ashford for his business, Ashford Homes. She is content with her life. Along with Robert, s [...]

    3. Sandy James knows how to create a tale of friendship, love and support when things threaten to get out of control. Four women bonded over lunch years before, their lives have changed, but their bond is strong. Each has a story to tell, and this time is Bethany’s. A single teacher who lacks the confidence to accept herself, physically, has given up on finding love or having a family when a brutal death leaves her with the care and custody of her infant niece. The man she has had feelings for, h [...]

    4. It doesn't seem like all that long ago I saw this book called The Brazen being offered on a book tour. The premise struck my fancy, but it was the third book in the series and I really hate to start mid series. So I researched books 1 & 2, The Reluctant and The Impetuous respectively, and thought they sounded right up my alley. They were in a word - Fantastic. The series ended with The Volatile , and I was blown away by the excellent dialogue, realistic characters and great action sequenc [...]

    5. Sealing the Deal is a wonderfully charming and delightful romance. Sandy James’s salutation on her email is “*laughter *tears *love“ and I could not describe her work any better. You laugh, you cry and you get to watch a marvelous couple struggle to find the love they so deserve. In Sealing the Deal, Beth is struggling with the loss of her sister when she realizes that she needs to take on her sisters orphaned baby. Robert, her friend and coworker, pushes his way into the help Beth and imme [...]

Robert is great with kids and has always mentioned wanting a family of [...]

    7. I’m basically a sucker for a good friend-to-lovers story, and that’s what Sealing the Deal is, in spades. But it’s not just that; it’s also a book about finding and making a family of your own, believing in yourself and fighting for what (and who) you want. And it’s all packaged up in a sweet, sexy and smooth story. When Bethany Rogers loses her sister in combat, she gains a daughter. Taking in her lost sister’s nine-month old daughter may present a challenge for a single parent on a [...]

    8. Sealing the Deal is book three in The Ladies Who Lunch series. This time around the main character is Beth Rogers, a high school teacher that is coping with losing her sister that was in combat in Afghanistan. At her sister's funeral, she finds out that her parents are not able to take care of her niece, so she will have to be the child's guardian, or Emma will be given up for adoption. It's a lot to take in while she's trying to handle her grief, so pretty much Beth's life changes in a whirlwin [...]

    9. Wonderful addition to the series! If you like characters who feel real, circumstances true to life, a fun & supportive group of friends while enjoying a romance filled with passion between the main characters, this book and series is for you. This latest book features Bethany & Robert both of whom have been seen in previous stories. Previous stories had hinted of chemistry between them which made this release a much anticipated one. Robert and Bethany or "B" story is one that once you star [...]

    10. Gripping story of loss and finding love. Add to that the complications of loving someone for years and not knowing how they really feel about you. With Beth having to step up and act as guardian of her 9 month old niece, she finds herself in the awkward position of raising a child without having any prior experience Her best friend Robert steps up to help and both Robert and Beth fall for this orphaned child. Emma becomes the glue that holds them together.Being friends for so many years, these tw [...]

    11. Ms James does it again.Sealing the Dealis a passionate, realistic exploration of true-to-life experiences. The characters are real people, with real virtues and flaws. The insecurities they deal with are probably those experienced by a huge percentage of adults at some point in their lives. These characters are mature adultsed 30-40 not giddy, inexperienced, immature young adults worrying about the latest fashion. The characters deal with the tough issues of the death of a family member in Afgha [...]

    12. I won this book in a giveaway from !!Beth's sister is killed in combat leaving Beth the responsibility of 9 month old Emma. Can Bethany handle the pressures of working and motherhood? Will Robert finally notice her and will he be interested in a slightly overweight single mother? Will Beth go crazy with all the pressure? Just leave it to "The Ladies Who Lunch"!Really enjoyed all 4 stories in the book. Easy read and very entertaining. I would recommend this book to anyone loves happy endings.

    13. I really liked this story! Bethany and Robert had worked together for years and were attracted to each other, but had no clue how the other felt. When Beth becomes guardian to her orphaned niece, Emma, Robert steps up to help. The characters and the dialogue were great, and I admit I fell for Robert who stuttered when he was nervous. This has been a wonderful series and I'm looking forward to the next book!

    14. openbooksociety/article/seBrought to you by OBS reviewer AndraThe beginning of the story is SO heart wrenching….losing a sister in combat and then having to be the mother to her 9 month old daughter! The story had high’s and low’s…Gut wrenching story line but sometimes the interactions between Robert and Bethany (Beth) were rather lack luster and at other times…RY hot. They are adults and at times, they certainly did not act like it, communication wise. At age 30 (Bethany) and 40 (Robe [...]

    15. Reviewed by JoAnneBook provided by NetGalley for reviewReview originally posted at Romancing the BookThis is book three in The Woman Who Lunch series and we are reunited with Beth, Jules, Mallory and Dani along with their spouses in the case of Mallory and Jules. There was a lot of warmth due to the friendships and love shared by them and it was heartwarming to see. Robert, their friend and Beth’s boss since she decorates and helps stage houses he’s built for sale, plays a major role in the [...]

    16. I think this was my favorite of the four. I absolutely loved this story and the couple who found love and also willing to love someone else's child. More to come

    17. Quick cute readHeartwarming, feel good story. Bit heavy on the sex, but you can zip through those parts and not detract from the story.

    18. Love The Ladies Who LunchThis is the first time I read one of Sandy's books. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the others in this series.

    19. Laughed a little, she'd a tear or two and fell in love with Bethany, Robert and Emma. Sandy James really pulled me into the story and kept me up until 2 A.M. to finish the book.

    20. I'm a fan of the first two books in this series, but Sealing the Deal fell flat for me. My main issue was Bethany and how I couldn't connect with her on any level. Bethany has many self-esteem problems stemming from her parents (who are the world's worst grandparents, and pretty much one-dimensional and very uncaring just for the purpose to create drama in this story. Bethany's sister, who happened to be a trouble teen, joined the army. She dies oversea and has left behind a nine month old daugh [...]

    21. Out of the two I needed to read by Sandy James for the Maggie awards, I was more excited for this one. I love "Friends to Lovers" stories, and add in an orphaned baby, you should have a great story. But, as with her previous one, there is zero buildup to the romance of the couple. I was only 13% in, and the couple had already coupled (if you catch my drift). That aside, there was also the problem of Beth being really idiotic and annoying as hell, I rolled my eyes-A LOT. So I think I may even giv [...]

    22. 3.5 Stars Would of liked it a whole lot more but Beth was way to pessimistic and whiny though part of the book. Which I found weird because she is the most optimistic character in the other books. Now Robert and his interaction with Emma was really great!

    23. Sealing the Deal reviewSealing the Deal is the delightful third romance book in The Ladies Who Lunch series written by author Sandy James.
