    2. Robert Thornhill has written a wonderful fourth installment in the Lady Justice series. All the characters we’ve come to love throughout the series are back and still the same lovable people we have come to know and care about. In Lady Justice and The Avenging Angels, Walt and Ox are in the middle of a mysterious series of bombings rocking Kansas City, and as usual Walt is right in the thick of it. Because of his skill and sometimes luck, Walt finds himself in the right place to thwart the pla [...]

    3. Ok, I really liked this 4th book of the Lady Justice series, Lady Justice and the Avenging Angels. When a group of religious zealots, led by an out-of-control self proclaimed “Avenging Angel”, Walt and his partner Ox are deposited in the middle of things by way of their job. The Avenging Angels have decided that Kansas City is a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah and they are chosen to rid the city of sin. We follow Walt and the ‘troops’ as they get into and out of trouble trying to keep the [...]

    4. Borrowing from troubling aspects of today's deep political divides, Thornhill gives us a more sober story in his 4th book in the Walt Williams Mystery Comedy series. There's still humor, but the message is one where a charismatic individual takes over the minds and souls of his small town friends and turns them into terrorists bent on destroying everything they consider an abomination in the eyes of their Lord. Walt and the KC police must stop them before they kill and maim thousands at large Ka [...]

    5. Lady Justice And The Avenging Angels (Lady Justice #4) Robert Thornhill Walt Williams, now newlywed to his sweetheart Maggie have returned from Hawaii and are adjusting to married life. He comes home to a religious fanatic, on a killing spree to rid the world of human pestilence. These religious terrorists are determined to rid the world of people whom they find are unfit for society. Walt and gang set out to stop the madness of a man whose insane antics are killing innocent people. All the chara [...]

    6. Walt and Maggie have just come back from there Hawaiin Honeymoon. Now its time for them to adjust to living together,When Walt and Ox his partner, are patrolling the Gay pride parade a bomb goes off near them, they are okay but many others were injured or killed. Shortly after the police learn the bombs are homemade by a group of Religious fanatics calling themselves the Avenging Angels. They think its their job to rain Fire and Brimstone on Kansas city. The next attacks could be anywhere. Walt [...]

    7. I'm not in the habit of reading a single book in the middle of a series, but then most crime/mystery books are self-standing outside of continued character development. This book is a simple crime chase to stop religious fanatics, spiked with various forms of humor from corny jokes and an occasional clever pun. I enjoyed the familiar references to the Kansas City area and the Ozarks. This is not great fiction, but it's a quick, fun, easy read as I expect other books in the series are and will be [...]

    8. I clearly am not the target audience for this book, humorous not so much.Perhaps I would have found this humorous if I was male and in the first grade? There was a lot of bathroom humor ;and I'm kind of over that at this point in my life. it was also a bit odd with such serious subject matter for there to be this type of humor thrown in? As I said not the target audience, but I can see some people finding these books more enjoyable than I did, the characters were great, and I could see really en [...]

    9. The 4th book in the Lady Justice series was another great read! This was a more serious story but there was still plenty of humor. A fanatical religious group is setting off bombs in Kansas City and killing innocent people. After the first bombing Walt seems to always be in the right place at the right time to thwart the evil plans of the bombers thus saving many lives. The subject matter in this book is current and touchy but I felt it was well written.I like all of the characters in this serie [...]

    10. Walt Williams returns from his honeymoon in Hawaii for another wild adventure, this time with a group of religious fundamentalist terrorists in Lady Justice and the Avenging Angels by Robert Thornhill. While adjusting to married life for the first time at the age of 67, Walt returns to his work as a police officer just as the Kansas City Gay Pride Parade is about to take place. Walt’s partner, Ox, named for his build, gets super hot under the strong sun and tries unsuccessfully to get somethin [...]

    11. Lady Justiceand the Avenging Angels:Robert ThornhillThis is book 4 in a Wonderful series, by an older author!!! I absolutely adore These books. They are quite enjoyable without gratuitous sex, but innuendo gives them enough umph. Walt and Maggie are home from their Hawaiian honeymoon and trying to settle in to cohabitation. Meanwhile Willie discovers a mystery from his past. A group of religious extremists are attacking "sinners," and Walt and Ox are hot on their trail. One question I have is th [...]

    12. Robert Thornhill did an amazing job writing this book. Each book in The Lady Justice series is better than the last.Fast paced reading and very funny. I kept wanting to read to see what would happen next. Never a dull moment. I wished I could have seen Maggie and Walt's faces when they came back from their honeymoon and saw that their new apartment had been decorated by his dad and the old folks in the apartment building. Walt sure gets himself in a lot of messes but always manages to get out of [...]

    13. Another 5 star book must read in this wonderful series. A review will follow. This series just keeps getting better. Walt & Maggie are back from their honeymoon and both have to adjust to being married and living together. Did I mention neither has been married before and are both over 60 yrs old? Kansas City is the backdrop to a religious hate group targeting "sin" by bombing them to Kingdom Come. Willie begins to find out about his family and he and Walt nearly die trying to trace the famil [...]

    14. This 4th installment in the Lady Justice series is another hit for Robert Thornhill! Like the first three, this book follows the hilarious antics of Walt Williams and friends as they fight the forces of evil. This story also addresses a very serious and dark topic, of a group of religious fanatics who believe they are doing God's will by killing the sinners in Kansas City. You will laugh at times, and you will be on the edge of your seat in suspense at others. I literally could not put this book [...]

    15. Robert Thornhill does not disappoint! Newlyweds, bombs, parades, religious fanatics, redecorating, hidden treasure, and Walt's ability to make a 'Nurse Ratched' faint. The storyline has it all!One of my boys purchased #4, 5, & 6 of the Lady Justice series as a gift for me for Christmas. I took Avenging Angels on a trip with me and read it from cover to cover on the plane. :)

    16. Note: I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I am SO late getting this review in. I actually listened to this months ago. Like all the other entries in the Lady Justice series, this is still a fun listen. The plot isn't too deep or convoluted, so it's more like a "cozy" mystery type of book. But the characters are interesting enough to want to keep coming back. There are some repeated weaknesses throughout the series (highly convenient oc [...]

    17. "In every generation men are born into the world with the extraordinary gift of leadership with the power to influence others and to make them embrace a cause with such fervor that they are willing to sacrifice their lives. It is one of the great mysteries of the universe why one man bearing such a special gift becomes an Adolf Hitler while another bearing that same gift becomes a Dr. Martin Luther King." -Robert Thornhill: "Lady Justice and the Avenging Angels" -page 206This very profound state [...]

    18. (Format : Audiobook)"""Ready to go treasure hunting?" Oh, this is such an enjoyable book that it's hard to stop listening once started. But it is also sheer delight taken in smaller bites. For anyone coming fresh to this treasure of a series, Walt is a retired realtor who turned cop in his mid sixties. He is a great character in every sense of the word and his friends are equally interesting, from Ox, his partner in the force, to the retired con man, not to mention his trouble making 80 somethi [...]

    19. I thoroughly enjoyed this installment off the Lady Justice series. In this case, a bomb detonates during a gay pride parade resulting in deaths and injuries to participants and parade watchers; senior citizen police officers, Walt and Ox were miraculously sidetracked or they would have filled coffins too. Turns out that a religious fanatical group has sinners and whoremongers in their crosshairs and use home-made bombs to kill them. During the investigation, the religious fanatics continue their [...]

    20. Walt and Maggie are adjusting to married life, and living under the same roof. Walt is learning that it makes for a much happier life if he just agrees with Maggie and let's her make the decisions at home, including when it comes to his health and adding vitamin supplements and the horrors of a colon cleanse to his life. Life in Kansas City is never quiet for Walt and his partner Ox. Everyone officer is called in to work the annual gay pride parade and Walt and Ox are stationed near the reviewin [...]

    21. Another excellent book in the Lady Justice series! Once again, the topics are more than contemporary, and there is referencing to late 20th century events. There is even a speculative tale from the days of the wild west. I continue to be impressed with the treatment of the problems of law enforcement and their departments. The publisher's blurb gives hints and there is no need for spoilers. Even if you've never read any of the other books in the series, I feel certain that you will appreciate th [...]

    22. Score!Another great one in the Lady Justice series! These books have humor and heart - and the locations provide enough familiarity to draw me right in!

    23. Great seriesI have been thoroughly enjoying this series of books. It is not the same old stuff that is in regular books. These stories are thought provoking, sometimes funny and always enjoyable.

    24. The Lady Justice Series is a fun relaxing reading. They are humerous yet thought provoking. Walt and Maggie are in and out of trouble yet justice always prevails. Fun easy reading for anyone.

    25. An excellent addition to the Lady Justice series. The story line tells how something good gets perverted into evil and how intolerance hurts everyone.

    26. Always a good readI've enjoyed every story in the lady justice series. There is a moral to each one. The characters are believable. I wouldn't mind having them as my friends.

    27. Robert Thornhill has done it again. This is book 4 in this series and it is as good as the first 3. George Kuch does a wonderful job again.

    28. I get such a kick out of these books! As Walt and Maggie settle in to married life ,Walt goes back to his job on the police force. For being an old guy he certainly saves the world a lot!George Kuch narrates the cratchety Walt wonderfully!“I was given this free review copy audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

    29. Delightful! This series is inspirational especially for senior citizens. I believe this series should be made available in the libraries or lounges of senior care facilities. I'm going to try to get my mom to begin this series.

    30. Easy read of things going on politically in todays world. We need to learn to love and not hate one another to make it a better place.
